Part of our Change Funding- DfE, our little team is actually developing a project/offer (LISO Local inclusion Support offer- Barnet) for volunteering opportunities for our Sec school wheelchair users. We have delivered online group discussions with or yp and have had a mini conference with an amazing guy from WheelPower. We are hoping to be able to have an altogether offer from next academic year...
We have encountered many challenges but have reached out to the DoE to get some tips and have also approached many local organisations; the issues we encounter are to do with accessibility, mostly accessible toilets. Once we have a completed programme i will share it in this platform. If anyone has any ideas, we are open to them too.
