Hi

We are trying to create a model framework for our contributions to EHCPs. I'm attempting to put together a bank of statements and I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience of this process and would be willing to share anything that might be helpful.

hi

Not sure if it helps or not we once tried this activity and the range within our caseloads meant it was not a useful activity.

We did 2 things- archived anonymised exemplars as 'starters for 10 and wrote headings which were intended to jog the memory- although not always used.

Hi Gareth

just attended a Tribunal training refresher which included some advice and some definite do nots which may help. If you email me I’ll forward slides to you. jane.carter@pdnet.org.uk

Hi Gareth

if you're interested in our 'top tips' for writing outcomes i can send you a copy. This frames outcome statements to help make them SMART and is aomething we in Hull always follow now

Hi Gareth

Not sure if you were thinking about outcomes or types of provision you would write into an EHCp.  In Kent we only include interventions which would not be ordinarily available as described in our Mainstream Core Standards or EY Best Practice Guidance.  While it doesn't help you write a bank of useful statements for provision, it does indicate which interventions you might be thinking about which constitute an exceptional need
