Im working with a child who has recently developed tics involving involuntary leg, arm, head and neck movements and vocal tics and non vocal tics as yet has not been diagnoses with Tourette's.

We are exploring alternative ways to record her work. As the tics are very frequent this is impacting on her being able write successfully.

I will be exploring the use of a keyboard guard, to prevent her pressing all the keys and also having a delay on the keyboard, to stop repetitive letters appearing on the screen etc.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of software or hardware that could be of some benefit, to enable this young girl to record her work

Thanks

Voice activated software such as Dragon are ideal. My daughter has chronic tick syndrome which has helped me have a greater understanding of tics. Rest periods are important, breathing exercises and finding triggers help decrease the tics
