To add, we worked with the staff and the parents to reassure everyone involved regarding the use of PPE and the current situation.

We encountered an issue with something similar - all staff refused to carry out this very intimate procedure. As it wasn't part of their job descriptions, the school accepted their position. Initially it was arranged for a family friend to come in at lunchtime to carry out the procedure and be paid for her time. Eventually the school employed her full time.

We had a similar case a couple of years ago; in addition to the points raised above, I would just add that the academy or Local Authority (depending on who is responsible) would need to check that this procedure is covered by their medical insurance, and if not, get this added on.

Hello yes it is specially trained TAs in Devon who do this and continue to do it with full PPE this term.
