We have registered a child for KS2 SATs. His mum wants him not to undertake tests on SEMH grounds as he is finding the practices very stressful. He has an EHCP because a physical disability - stroke just after birth.  He is working at ‘emerging’ level but is able to access the UKS2 curriculum. What to do?!?

I have the paragraph about ‘not in a fit physical or mental state at the time of the test’ so the poor fella can opt out during SATs week but I just wondered if any of you had done this in advance on emotional grounds before
