Does anyone know of a funding route for this? A local charity has a new base and are looking for help with increasing their accessibility.
Hi
I think this is going to be difficult but there are several questions to ask first.
Do they own the building ? if not they will clearly need to check with the land-lord.
Who are the intended users , children, adults, both ?
Do the intended users have a specific condition ?
With a bit more detail I will expand my response.
Sonia
The building is to be used to support Youth work. The users could be both children and adults.
Hi
there are a variety of options, try local councils, specific charitable trusts, etc..
i would suggest a careful look at charities supporting 'getting back together post lockdown' might help especially if your application talks about how isolated individuals with physical disabilities have been and the impact on their emotional and mental wellbeing too.
In my experience local knowledge can quite often be the key as the smaller charitable trusts have specific remits and do not often advertise, so a chat with the local councillor, vicar might generate support.
