Hello. Are schools able to use Office 365 in GCSE exams? (Due to the 'no internet connectivity' rule). If so, how is this managed?

If you have students using Immersive reader or dictate within 365 how are they then accessing this in exams? Thank you.

We have used Office 365 in exams with no issues. It doesn't need live access to the internet, just needs to be able to confirm the account is genuine. We have exam accounts set up with specific access and pupils log in to the appropriate exam account using that day's password. This means pupils only get access to a set of resources justified by their EAA. For instance some accounts don't have word they have notepad so pupils can type but don't have spell check.

We have successfully used Dragon Dictate in exams before and my IT team are checking on how they would provide access to Office 365 dictation while preventing more general internet access. One option being considered is an exams account that simply doesn't have any browsers.

Hope this helps.

Robin
