On Tuesday 12th September, 1600-1700 hours pdnet is teaming up with Whole School SEND for a discussion exploring approaches to creating a physically safe environment in primary environments. Di Caesar( pdnet National Projects) and Clare Warner (Inclusion Manager, London Borough of Newbridge) will attend the session alongside Whole School SEND Regional Lead, Alistair Crawford. Delegates will be encouraged to join in, ask questions and share experiences. As such content will be responsive but may cover some some or all of the following themes:
- What is a physically safe environment?
- The balance between providing care, support and safety alongside promoting equality and independence
The discussion builds on Whole School SEND’s 20 minute online CPD units. Whole School SEND’s 20 minute online CPD units. While everyone is welcome to take part in the session, delegates who have completed the corresponding unit content in preparation are likely to find the sessions particularly helpful.
