The only people who I understand can offer SplashCity training are staff who also work at the ACE centres. They charge around £500 a session plus mileage too and from the venue. As they are in Oxford or Manchester this can be rather pricy.

That sounds about right, as it is the distance from Oxford that adds onto the cost of the training.

Cath@splash and I are currently working on a more bespoke delivery.

We are trying to do it via a live link using Zap.

For this to happen successfully, I have been granted temporary access to familiarise myself with the program. I am then going to act as her eyes and ears on the ground whilst she goes through the training, feeding back as needs be.

We are not too sure how successful this will be, but it was a considerable amount cheaper than what was initially offered!

Currently I am having some difficulties getting the two pieces of software placed onto my computer. But I'll keep trying 🙂

Hi all,

In Hampshire we offer training, but with the caveat that we are not the experts! We are trying to give the schools who are supporting a pupil using Splash a day to look through the features and learn how to use it at a beginners level. It is a complex piece of software so even a day's training is just an introduction! We run this in Winchester and do limit the attendees to 2 per establishment. Contact me for more details.

For information, Ace Centre is looking to develop some online training materials in collaboration with Splash. Unfortunately face-to-face training just isn't cost effective. Hopefully these will become available in the next academic year.
