I am wanting to put some training videos on our local offer website and the best way to do so seems to be to create a private video on Youtube and then share the link.
Has anyone else done something similar? and what have you used if so?

Hi Stuart - Apologies for the delay in replying, only just spotted your post. My Local Authority, Warwickshire, started to do this over lockdown via non-public YouTube Channel. We then share the URLs with our target audience. It was set up by our central LA ICT section. Clair Warner in Redbridge has also done similar. She is speaking about her work in Redbridge at the pdnet Conference on the 30th June.
Great thanks. That's the route I was thinking about
hi, we also use Youtube in Essex although I have to admit, we just produce the content and then other colleagues sort out the technical side!
Hi Stuart
Our PD service is within a wider SEN Team at Redbridge
We have a really large YouTube streaming platform- created out of need during lockdown
We have private and public videos on there - ie there are over a 100 live videos, but I also have nearly the same as private. Which means they are there, uploaded and links can be shared, but not found on the site and by googling. This is because we decided we did not want videos of for example Duchenne awareness to be found by our students. So we host privately on there, and then share with the schools and families- which means they can watch
Our site is free for anybody- so the content you see is designed for families as well as schools- again we have more complex training recorded-that can be shared with schools/ uni's -but that is saved as private in the background
We have a lot of generic bits and bobs such as Fine and Gross motor/ sensory circuit type things on there for everybody, but we took the decision to keep much of our specific PD bits private. We were only discussing before HT, we may make some of the more common video eg CP etc public- but haven't got round to it yet.
If you search 'Redbridge SEATSS' on You Tube you will find us
If you could click subscribe that would really help, as I am trying to get to 1000 subscribers- and then we can earn some money from adverts 🙂
Happy to have a chat as I have learnt a lot and done a lot of googling 'how do you...'
Hope that helps
Clair
