Hello Everyone

Has anyone had any experience of supporting Ukrainian children with physical disability? Any advice re services to access would be gratefully received. (Translation services for reports etc)

Thank you.

Angela

Hi Angela. Yes, we are providing some support in Surrey. Interpreter and translation services are coming from our in-house LA services. I understand that the local authority is claiming from the Ukrainian education and childcare grant for any services and equipment that we putting in place for these pupils.

We are putting everything in place as if they were a normal resident. Not sure on claiming from the fund.

Hi Angela,

In Barnet we have an appointed Ukranian refugee officer (part time ) which coordinates services . In terms of funding and equipment the access is the same as to any other CYP.

The refugee organisation has also been very helpful.

Best wishes

Hi, I am supporting some YP in Warwickshire. We are supported by our EMTAS team who provide education and translations support until they are in school and we are putting in whatever support we would for any child in our area.
