Dear All,

The Dfe has asked us to share the information below in relation to assistive technology (AT) pilot announced by Minister Quince on the 1st December 2021.

AT Champions  have been identified and will   attend a series of interactive workshops focusing on different aspects of AT, complete intersessional tasks to deepen their knowledge and understanding, and form peer relationships to share case studies and best practice. These workshops will be delivered by a consortium of nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs) and Microlink, who bring together expertise of schools, SEND, and assistive technology.

Alongside the pilot, they will be  publishing a resource bank of materials on assistive technology which will be freely available for all schools and teachers.

Any comments and feedback  is welcomed via @education.gov.uk">EdTech.TEAM@education.gov.uk.
