They have a specialist advisory teacher in Somerset who is part of the SENIDAS team. There aren't many left int he South or South West. Many of the past specialist teachers have now become independent advisors.

There is a government initiative to skill up many more staff in all schools in this area so it becomes part of the fabric of all schools.

I n Oxfordshire we have the SENICT AAC Team that provide assessment and equipment for children with Complex access needs ie VI and PD .
