Hi All,

Until recently we had a specialist teacher who would come into school and complete an ICT assessment with the PD students and be able to recommend any equipment that may make their accesability to technology easier. Unfortunatly the teacher has since retired and there is no one who shares his expertise without costing thousands of pounds. I just wondered how other schools go about sourcing these assessments? whether it is something you complete internally or source from other providers.

Any help and suggestions with this is greatfuly recieved! 🙂

Thank you

Jo

Hi Jo,

You may be able to ask the local authority to suggest someone who does this privately.  There are some companies in the south west who provide this type of thing to mainstream schools. Try these people:

Private - Oliver Lewis - http://www.lewis-support.co.uk/

Local Authority - Hampshire county council - https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/childrenandfamilies/specialneeds/specialistadvisory/physical-disability/at-assessments

Charity - Everyone Can - https://www.everyonecan.org.uk/what-we-do/assessments/
