Hi all

One for midlands colleagues.. Do support services offer manual handling training and if not where do schools get this from please? I am wondering about Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Yorkshire and Leicestershire please. I am interested to know how this is serviced in the surrounding areas.

Many thanks

Lucy

We are based in Worcestershire and use this company to teach our manual handling trainers

In Dudley our PD service offers manual handling training. We are trained using EDGE services.

In Walsall, our Outreach Service offers Assisting People to Move courses and our trainers are trained and re-accredited with IOSH through HME training.

I can highly recommend them as their trainers have loads of experience working with children and young people  with Complex needs.

Hope that’s helpful

thank you for the replies. Sue, is it your service that are the trainers? I am also Centaur trained and that is the provider we use in Derby City. Do you charge schools for training?

We run 3 courses (2 days) throughout the year (plus more if there's a need) and charge £100 per person.

Many thanks
