One of the draft documents is the Draft equality, diversity and inclusion statement for the education inspection framework.

There is an online response form on the same page.

Also, next Tuesday, 5th Feb, Amanda Spielman and Sean Harford answer questions from the Education Committee about the proposed changes. A reminder to colleagues about this consultation. It represents a rare and real opportunity to make the case for an increased focus on Inclusive Practice in inspections (even to the extent of a Grade 1 overall outcome being dependent on a Grade 1 level of Inclusive Practice). In my view this would transform quality of provision for our CYP.

I would hope that the expertise of specialist practitioners would carry some weight with Amanda Spielman, and, if so, the more responses the better.

The deadline is 5th April.

Just to reiterate Max’ comment, this is one consultation where it is key our voice is heard and the more individuals who respond the better.
