Hi all - a secondary school has contacted me to say they aren't happy to use www.typingclub.com as the child's typing speed data is kept in the USA, not the UK.  This has never been raised as an issue before so I wondered if anyone had any experience of this please, and if anyone knew of any secondary age-appropriate one handed typing tutors that store their data in this country, please?  Thanks

GDPR with an American program is always going to be difficult, and won't meet European standards.  TypingClub isn't a specialist one handed typing program, (and it does use American spellings).  Touch Type Read & Spell and Englishtype Senior are UK based programs and comply with GDPR.  5 Finger Typist is the only specialist one handed program, but I don't know it's GDPR policy, sorry.

Full disclosure - I do work for Englishtype, we have worked with the PD team in Hounslow very closely for very many years now, I can put you in touch with them if you are interested? They got me to join this forum to help people interested in typing.  Englishtype is colourful and fun, and has good literacy content and is a one off cost.  TTRS has good literacy content and also covers curriculum subjects; you pay per pupil per month or year for this one.
