Dear pdnet colleague,

The festive season is nearly here: whatever you have planned we hope that you have time to enjoy and reflect upon the positives of 2021. Despite the challenges pdnet has continued to flourish.

  • Our community has continued to grow – we  now have  6,739 pdnet  members!!
  • pdnet regional group attendance has increased significantly as groups meet virtually-. You can find the meeting dates for 2022 on pdnet website, pdnet.org.uk.
  • pdnets free training offer has been strengthened with 2 new  brilliant resources to support “Transition” and the “Post 16”. Check them out at   https://pdnet.org.uk/pdnet-training
  • Following the launch of pdnets trading arm in April there has been a good uptake of the Accessibility Toolkit, an absolute bargain at £30. https://pdnet.org.uk/accessibility-toolkit/
  • Feedback from the new  pdnet Level 2 training “Supporting Learners with Physical Disability” is excellent!

“I enjoyed the interactive nature of the training sessions. There was time for reflection and the workbook helped to focus thoughts/ideas. This is definitely a step up from the Level 1 training and will be a helpful resource for persons working with a pupil with PD.”

“Excellent course that was interesting to complete to consolidate understanding and current practice. It was aimed at TAs but would be really valuable for SENCOs, teachers, SMT and all staff supporting a young person with a physical or medical need.”

“The training was brilliant, it was incredibly engaging and provide lots of useful information”.

We have  exciting new projects planned for 2022- so watch this space.

Seasons Greetings and best wishes for 2022.

The pdnet Team.
