A colleague has asked if anyone come across a scientific calculator that would be suitable for a secondary pupil with dyspraxia to use?

We have been looking for a larger buttoned calculator that still has the functionality of a standard school scientific calculator and had no success with a physical calculator.

Have you tried apps on a tablet?  On a phone the buttons remain small but on the larger screen of a tablet....

The best scientific calculator App that I recommend is Talking Scientific Calculator. It was developed for students with visual impairments so has great contrast and the speech feedback is useful for everyone. Although I also agree before spending £5.99 on the paid apps just try the built in scientific calculator on iPads and tablets.

Thanks

Charlotte

I agree with Charlotte, this is an excellent calculator for all the reasons she states.
