Hi Kate,

Are you thinking about in regards to a specific type of therapy or intervention? For example Speech and Language?

Hi Kate Birmingham has recently updated their “Ordinarily Available” guidance for schools. If you do an online search you’ll find it. The PD section starts at p.38.
Strengthening and improving this aspect of local offers is a key part of the “SEND and AP Improvement Plan”. Coincidentally I’m just about to send out an invitation to our regional chairs to look at this as some colleagues are reporting difficulties with influencing what their LA is writing in relation to PD. If you want to join us email my pdnet email address.

I’m really interested in talking to my L.A about this and also provision for PD. Would love to chat privately with anyone who is interested to compare provisions in diff authorities. Particularly interested in curric offer and adaptations, having high expectations and options for further education.
