Dear colleagues
I would be so grateful if colleagues across the country can tell me if their pd services are traded or funded.
Unfortunately Dudley are now going down the route of trading all of our services and we feel the outcome will not be good for us.
Also, could anyone tell us if they have been traded in the past, but gone back to funded as it didn't work.

Rochdale is funded mostly but some things are partially traded.
e.g. Moving and Handling Training, EVAC chair training.

I run a PD resource in a mainstream school. Our resource is funded. Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, SALT are all funded services based on EHCP identified needs. EP is traded. Manual handling, health and safety, evac etc are mostly supplied via external commercial bodies. We got two of us qualified to be manual handling trainers so we could future proof ourselves there. There is an ongoing cost to remaining qualified.
