As it once again seems the time of the year for schools' sports days, I was just wondering if anyone has any good website links or links to resources that could help schools to plan an inclusive sports day, ensuring they are including students with PD within their activities. I am specifically looking at how to include the PD student in the mainstream sports day but any information around this topic would be very much appreciated.
You can have a look at our local offer pages:

Hi,
I'm currently updating Shine charity's advice on inclusive PE and sports days which I've collected and collated from several sources. Please let me know if the information below, which is currently on PD Net resources, is of use for sharing with schools.
Thanks,
Jan
Inclusive PE, Games and Sports Days in Mainstream Schools
Inclusive Sports for children with physical needs in mainstream schools
SENCOs and teachers in mainstream schools often ask how they can make PE and sports days more inclusive for pupils with physical needs. Parents are also seeking advice on ideas for inclusive games to pass on to schools or to use at home during family activities.
Teachers seeking advice on making PE lessons and Sports Days more inclusive can ask for support from their local authority’s team of specialist teachers of pupils with physical disabilities.
