Our range of services includes youth clubs, employability skills sessions and work placements - all of which are currently delivered online via video call platforms and will soon be returning face to face.</td>

<td class="mcnTextContent" valign="top">Young wheelchair users aged 14 – 25 years can benefit from accessing work placements online with Whizz-Kidz. The placements will be tailored to suit them and will generally be 1-4 weeks long.

They will have a short introductory meeting with one of our team to talk about their skills and interests so that they can find the right fit. Once they have been matched with a host, they will meet with them regularly online, with support from a member of Whizz-Kidz staff, and we will support them to get experience with tasks, meetings, and the world of work.

From mid June we will be offering the opportunity to return to these work placements in person and will be able to support with travel and any healthcare requirements that a young person may have.

Each session will be based around a specific employability skill, so the more sessions they attend, the more knowledge they'll gain. Our employability skills sessions last for up to 90 minutes each and cover topics like CV writing, workplace FAQ's and skills for interviews. The sessions are also a great way to meet other young people too.

Normally, our clubs are held twice a week on Saturday and/or Sunday. Our clubs include sports, cookery, science, music, art and drama so there’s really something for everyone. They'll meet young people from all over the UK and it’s a great chance to have some fun and build more friendships!

We will be returning to face to face from July with lots of outdoor adventures planned.  In Clubs we welcome young people from age 8 upwards and can provide healthcare support to enable young people to attend independently.

<td class="mcnTextContent" valign="top">At Whizz-Kidz, we know how important it is to get the most from a wheelchair. Being able to use it safely and confidently can make all the difference.

Wheelchair Skills Workshops are open to young wheelchair users aged 2 to 25 and are suitable for both manual and powered wheelchair users, including those who are wheelchair users on a part-time basis. We will come to your School to deliver these sessions and all of our Wheelchair Skills Workshops are delivered by skilled and experienced facilitators who will ensure the best training available. Many of our facilitators and volunteers are wheelchair users themselves, so they bring a wealth of experience to these workshops and can also provide some useful answers to any questions.

Our travel training programme runs across six sessions and includes skills such as planning a route, accessing timetables and booking assistance. Share experiences and build confidence for making journeys independently.
