In Trafford the Children's Therapy Team will assess children and make a statement of case for specialist equipment including seating. We have a store of equipment and data base of recycled equipment so this is considered before placing an order for something new. Low level equipment is provided by schools such as Teezi's and Breezis Fox Denton Chairs etc unless we have one in stock and then we will loan this to school. Larger equipment such as changing plinths and hoists are often loaned to schools when needed and then collected and stored when not in use. We have a budget each year to fund the more specialist equipment so following a statement of case equipment request two senior staff from different departments will approve or ask for more information.
