The DfE has now published these: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/actions-for-educational-and-childcare-settings-to-prepare-for-wider-opening-from-1-june-2020/actions-for-education-and-childcare-settings-to-prepare-for-wider-opening-from-1-june-2020

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-protective-measures-in-education-and-childcare-settings

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/reopening-schools-and-other-educational-settings-from-1-june

if these are of any help. However, governing bodies are now being advised by the National Association of Governance to hold meetings about any proposed reopenings. It may be appropriate to enquire of schools if these meetings are happening, and, if so, that HTs and governors specifically discuss how the needs and safety of pupils with PD, and of staff working with them, will be met.

Hi everyone. Am late to this as I don’t seem to be receiving updates from PDNet. Have there been any more developments in advice to schools regarding distancing and CYP with a PD/medical need, please? I am assuming many parents won’t want their child to return this term anyway but this may still be relevant in September and I am sure some will be considering returning in June...Many thanks! Hope everyone is staying well.

I'd be interested to know if colleagues are aware of any involvement of schools' governing bodies (local committees for MATs) in preparation for pupils returning to school and specifically how this is being managed for CYP with PD, or SEND needs in general.

Happy to be emailed on mfishel.305@lgflmail.org

Thanks

Max
