Ann

I have an information sheet I have made called 'Watch your back' that I give to mainly Early Years settings for general back awareness. this may be of some help to you. I make it very clear this is generic advice and does not constitute training for staff to be able to handle a specific child without having had adequate training. Do you want me to email it to you?

Thanks

Lucy

I have done the "train the trainer" course for manual handling.

The resources used are all proprietary but the basic principles are simple enough but I would be very wary of suggesting that the course was providing training in manual handling without doing so fully.

If you have someone on the team writing the resources that is suitably trained they should be able to produce some simple PowerPoint type resources for you to cover the theory of Manual Handling of Children. Production of resources to support in person training is part of the qualification to train manual handling. Adapting them to online use shouldn't be too hard.
