Have you tried the dictate function on Word? You don't need to do any training for it to work. You can also make the text accessible by using immersive reader under view.

Thanks everyone. The microsoft dictate function didn't recognise her voice, but a free online programme called Speechnotes is working well. Thanks for your input.

Otter.ai is another option for transcribing.

This app is available on all platforms, i.e.. Windows, ios,  macOS and Android.

It records the spoken word as it transcribes, and the words in the typed transcription are highlighted as read back.

This enables the write/listener to amend any mistakes in the transcription.
